New Haven’s NXTHVN welcomes new artists and curators to fellowship program

Fresh faces are coming to NXTHVN, as the latest round of artists and curators begin their 10-month fellowship program in New Haven.

The art center’s Cohort 05 Studio and Curatorial Fellows will be refining their artistic practices in what NXTHVN describes as a community-driven program that will challenge each fellow and provide mentorship amid a collaborative spirit. The program began this month and continues through May, concluding with a group exhibition at a gallery. NXTHVN is an arts incubator that supports artists, curators and holds educational arts programming.

“Each year, we are thrilled to welcome artists and curators from across the globe to utilize NXTHVN’s expansive resources and participate in the dynamic programming our Fellowship has to offer,” Titus Kaphar, NXTHVN co-founder and president, said in a news release. “We are committed to providing incoming artists with the tools and mentorship they need to accelerate their careers.”
